Ban bus trick and treats mile high city
(Boulder, CO: 31 October 1997) The ban bus arrived in the mile high city on Halloween Eve to give a presentation at the University of Colorado. Questions were asked about the production of landmines and several people brought up the need to stigmitize these companies through investment. Also, Peace Action members want to start a campaign to make Colorado the first mine-free state.
There was also table set up at the Boulder Courthouse where ban campaigners and local supporters gathered over 100 signatures on petitions. Local media covered events at both the university and in front of the courthouse. After the event at the courthouse, John Rodsted, Jill Greenberg, and Mette Elliassuen did a radio interview with KGNU radio.
Special thanks to Jose Marichal and Andy Hanscom, Peace Action Colorado, for helping, hosting and giving the ban bus folks a great Halloween.
The ban bus heads off to the Cornhusker State, Nebraska , for events in Omaha on November 2. For more information, contact Don Doll, Creighton University
